Virginia Beach Shopping
There is certainly no shortage of places to shop in Virginia Beach! If you are staying at the Oceanfront, there are many shops within walking distance. If you are willing to drive, you will find that Virginia Beach, as might be expected from the largest city in Virginia, has many, many choices that would certainly allow you to "shop till you drop".
And like most cities, Virginia Beach is subdivided into neighborhoods and most neighborhoods have their own strip malls and shopping centers each with their own mix of stores.
Perhaps the closest one to the main Virginia Beach Oceanfront area would be Laskin Rd and Hilltop. Hilltop has some nice restaurants and many stores for your shopping pleasure.
A few grocery stores are within walking distance to the Oceanfront. Harris Teeter (2800 Arctic Ave) and Farm Fresh (521 Laskin Road) are both located near 33rd street and Laskin Road. The Heritage at 314 Laskin Road is an organic food store and offers organic produce as well as quite the mix of other things.
Lynnhaven mall is located about 15 minutes from the Oceanfront due east on 264 and has a wide variety of shops, places to eat, and a nice movie theater.
Further in towards the middle of Virginia Beach, you'll find more shopping available at Virginia Beach Blvd and Independance Ave. This area has several new shops, Pembroke mall and many places to eat (see Town Center restaurants).
